2018 Spring Carnival at the Demosthenes campus
The sporting tradition continues!
On April 13, all the students from kindergarten to Grade 6 participated in the traditional spring carnival held at the Terrebonne sports complexe. On this day, students had the opportunity to participate in many lively sports workshops, skate and even play ice hockey.
Accompanied by their teachers and several parents, all the children participated at the same time in three hours of physical activities. A good time was had by all that were present.

At the end of the day, there was the presentation of a parent-teacher match against students on the Demosthenes campus.
A pre-match ceremony was held with the entrance of the students on the ice under the flags of Greece and that of our campus. The crowd, composed of parents and students, cheered loudly.

The grade 6 students sang the national hymns of Canada and Greece.

In addition, we were fortunate to see Olympia Kalaganis, a Grade 5 student at the Demosthenes campus, perform a figure skating choreography.
Just before the match, all the players, students and parents present kept a minute of silence in tribute to the Humboldt Broncos tragedy .
To top it off, in a very close game, the students scored in overtime, a spectacular goal to break the tie and win 8-7 against the adults.  There was hysteria in the arena.

Thank you to all the volunteers, teachers and parents who attended and made this day a success.
Thank you also to Mr. Jacques St-Louis, 6th grade teacher,  for the beautiful photos.
See you next year!
