<\/strong><\/p>\nThe May 24th presentation of the Immigrec project will undoubtedly go down in history as one of the most important and moving activities ever organized by the Socrates-Demosthenes School for the Hellenic Community of Greater Montreal. The organization of the event was impeccable and our students dazzled us. What we saw was priceless: young people aware of their direct history and their place in the general history of this country.
\nThe Immigrec project details the wave of Greek immigrants from the 1940s to the 1970s, the journey of our parents and grandparents, their economic and political challenges, their childhoods lived in Greece, and the unknown that Montreal represented at the beginning of their new life. The collaborative effort involving our third-generation students and their grandparents, under the guidance and leadership of McGill University\u2019s Greek Studies Department exemplifies this principle.<\/em><\/h6>\nAristote a un jour dit : \u00ab \u00a0Savoir, c\u2019est se souvenir. \u00bb L\u2019\u00c9cole Socrates-D\u00e9mosth\u00e8ne existe pour semer et faire cro\u00eetre le savoir dans la vie de ses \u00e9l\u00e8ves. Immigrec a permis \u00e0 ceux-ci d\u2019acqu\u00e9rir un autre savoir par les souvenirs de leurs yiayias et de leurs papous. Les enfants ont ainsi d\u00e9couvert avec fascination comment l\u2019Histoire du monde commence, \u00e0 la base, par l\u2019histoire des individus formant leurs familles.<\/h6>\nL\u2019\u00c9cole et le projet se sont compl\u00e9t\u00e9s \u00e0 merveille, mettant en lumi\u00e8re l\u2019importance de l\u2019histoire de toutes ces personnes immigrantes qui ont jou\u00e9 un r\u00f4le notable dans la vie de la communaut\u00e9 grecque et dans l\u2019\u00e9volution de Montr\u00e9al et du Qu\u00e9bec.<\/h6>\nC\u2019est dans cet esprit que nous avons d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de modifier d\u00e8s que possible notre programme grec de 5e ann\u00e9e afin d\u2019y inclure un volet sur l\u2019histoire des immigrants grecs au Qu\u00e9bec. The collaborative effort involving our third-generation students and their grandparents, under the guidance and leadership of McGill University\u2019s Greek Studies Department exemplifies this principle.<\/em><\/h6>\nAristote a un jour dit : \u00ab \u00a0Savoir, c\u2019est se souvenir. \u00bb L\u2019\u00c9cole Socrates-D\u00e9mosth\u00e8ne existe pour semer et faire cro\u00eetre le savoir dans la vie de ses \u00e9l\u00e8ves. Immigrec a permis \u00e0 ceux-ci d\u2019acqu\u00e9rir un autre savoir par les souvenirs de leurs yiayias et de leurs papous. Les enfants ont ainsi d\u00e9couvert avec fascination comment l\u2019Histoire du monde commence, \u00e0 la base, par l\u2019histoire des individus formant leurs familles.<\/h6>\nL\u2019\u00c9cole et le projet se sont compl\u00e9t\u00e9s \u00e0 merveille, mettant en lumi\u00e8re l\u2019importance de l\u2019histoire de toutes ces personnes immigrantes qui ont jou\u00e9 un r\u00f4le notable dans la vie de la communaut\u00e9 grecque et dans l\u2019\u00e9volution de Montr\u00e9al et du Qu\u00e9bec.<\/h6>\nC\u2019est dans cet esprit que nous avons d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de modifier d\u00e8s que possible notre programme grec de 5e ann\u00e9e afin d\u2019y inclure un volet sur l\u2019histoire des immigrants grecs au Qu\u00e9bec. Il s\u2019agit l\u00e0 de l\u2019un des nombreux r\u00e9sultats d\u2019un projet comme Immigrec.<\/h6>\nAs a result of this project, our Greek Program will forever be enriched as it will include Greek History in Qu\u00e9bec. The collaborative effort involving our third-generation students and their grandparents, under the guidance and leadership of McGill University\u2019s Greek Studies Department exemplifies this principle.<\/em><\/h6>\nAristote a un jour dit : \u00ab \u00a0Savoir, c\u2019est se souvenir. \u00bb L\u2019\u00c9cole Socrates-D\u00e9mosth\u00e8ne existe pour semer et faire cro\u00eetre le savoir dans la vie de ses \u00e9l\u00e8ves. Immigrec a permis \u00e0 ceux-ci d\u2019acqu\u00e9rir un autre savoir par les souvenirs de leurs yiayias et de leurs papous. Les enfants ont ainsi d\u00e9couvert avec fascination comment l\u2019Histoire du monde commence, \u00e0 la base, par l\u2019histoire des individus formant leurs familles.<\/h6>\nL\u2019\u00c9cole et le projet se sont compl\u00e9t\u00e9s \u00e0 merveille, mettant en lumi\u00e8re l\u2019importance de l\u2019histoire de toutes ces personnes immigrantes qui ont jou\u00e9 un r\u00f4le notable dans la vie de la communaut\u00e9 grecque et dans l\u2019\u00e9volution de Montr\u00e9al et du Qu\u00e9bec.<\/h6>\nC\u2019est dans cet esprit que nous avons d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de modifier d\u00e8s que possible notre programme grec de 5e ann\u00e9e afin d\u2019y inclure un volet sur l\u2019histoire des immigrants grecs au Qu\u00e9bec. Il s\u2019agit l\u00e0 de l\u2019un des nombreux r\u00e9sultats d\u2019un projet comme Immigrec.<\/h6>\nAs a result of this project, our Greek Program will forever be enriched as it will include Greek History in Qu\u00e9bec. And Greek History in Qu\u00e9bec will finally be archived for future generations to appreciate.<\/h6>\nEt maintenant, place aux jeunes!<\/h6>\n

The collaborative effort involving our third-generation students and their grandparents, under the guidance and leadership of McGill University\u2019s Greek Studies Department exemplifies this principle.<\/em><\/h6>\nAristote a un jour dit : \u00ab \u00a0Savoir, c\u2019est se souvenir. \u00bb L\u2019\u00c9cole Socrates-D\u00e9mosth\u00e8ne existe pour semer et faire cro\u00eetre le savoir dans la vie de ses \u00e9l\u00e8ves. Immigrec a permis \u00e0 ceux-ci d\u2019acqu\u00e9rir un autre savoir par les souvenirs de leurs yiayias et de leurs papous. Les enfants ont ainsi d\u00e9couvert avec fascination comment l\u2019Histoire du monde commence, \u00e0 la base, par l\u2019histoire des individus formant leurs familles.<\/h6>\nL\u2019\u00c9cole et le projet se sont compl\u00e9t\u00e9s \u00e0 merveille, mettant en lumi\u00e8re l\u2019importance de l\u2019histoire de toutes ces personnes immigrantes qui ont jou\u00e9 un r\u00f4le notable dans la vie de la communaut\u00e9 grecque et dans l\u2019\u00e9volution de Montr\u00e9al et du Qu\u00e9bec.<\/h6>\nC\u2019est dans cet esprit que nous avons d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de modifier d\u00e8s que possible notre programme grec de 5e ann\u00e9e afin d\u2019y inclure un volet sur l\u2019histoire des immigrants grecs au Qu\u00e9bec. Il s\u2019agit l\u00e0 de l\u2019un des nombreux r\u00e9sultats d\u2019un projet comme Immigrec.<\/h6>\nAs a result of this project, our Greek Program will forever be enriched as it will include Greek History in Qu\u00e9bec. The collaborative effort involving our third-generation students and their grandparents, under the guidance and leadership of McGill University\u2019s Greek Studies Department exemplifies this principle.<\/em><\/h6>\nAristote a un jour dit : \u00ab \u00a0Savoir, c\u2019est se souvenir. \u00bb L\u2019\u00c9cole Socrates-D\u00e9mosth\u00e8ne existe pour semer et faire cro\u00eetre le savoir dans la vie de ses \u00e9l\u00e8ves. Immigrec a permis \u00e0 ceux-ci d\u2019acqu\u00e9rir un autre savoir par les souvenirs de leurs yiayias et de leurs papous. Les enfants ont ainsi d\u00e9couvert avec fascination comment l\u2019Histoire du monde commence, \u00e0 la base, par l\u2019histoire des individus formant leurs familles.<\/h6>\nL\u2019\u00c9cole et le projet se sont compl\u00e9t\u00e9s \u00e0 merveille, mettant en lumi\u00e8re l\u2019importance de l\u2019histoire de toutes ces personnes immigrantes qui ont jou\u00e9 un r\u00f4le notable dans la vie de la communaut\u00e9 grecque et dans l\u2019\u00e9volution de Montr\u00e9al et du Qu\u00e9bec.<\/h6>\nC\u2019est dans cet esprit que nous avons d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de modifier d\u00e8s que possible notre programme grec de 5e ann\u00e9e afin d\u2019y inclure un volet sur l\u2019histoire des immigrants grecs au Qu\u00e9bec. Il s\u2019agit l\u00e0 de l\u2019un des nombreux r\u00e9sultats d\u2019un projet comme Immigrec.<\/h6>\nAs a result of this project, our Greek Program will forever be enriched as it will include Greek History in Qu\u00e9bec. The collaborative effort involving our third-generation students and their grandparents, under the guidance and leadership of McGill University\u2019s Greek Studies Department exemplifies this principle.<\/em><\/h6>\nAristote a un jour dit : \u00ab \u00a0Savoir, c\u2019est se souvenir. \u00bb L\u2019\u00c9cole Socrates-D\u00e9mosth\u00e8ne existe pour semer et faire cro\u00eetre le savoir dans la vie de ses \u00e9l\u00e8ves. Immigrec a permis \u00e0 ceux-ci d\u2019acqu\u00e9rir un autre savoir par les souvenirs de leurs yiayias et de leurs papous. Les enfants ont ainsi d\u00e9couvert avec fascination comment l\u2019Histoire du monde commence, \u00e0 la base, par l\u2019histoire des individus formant leurs familles.<\/h6>\nL\u2019\u00c9cole et le projet se sont compl\u00e9t\u00e9s \u00e0 merveille, mettant en lumi\u00e8re l\u2019importance de l\u2019histoire de toutes ces personnes immigrantes qui ont jou\u00e9 un r\u00f4le notable dans la vie de la communaut\u00e9 grecque et dans l\u2019\u00e9volution de Montr\u00e9al et du Qu\u00e9bec.<\/h6>\nC\u2019est dans cet esprit que nous avons d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de modifier d\u00e8s que possible notre programme grec de 5e ann\u00e9e afin d\u2019y inclure un volet sur l\u2019histoire des immigrants grecs au Qu\u00e9bec. Il s\u2019agit l\u00e0 de l\u2019un des nombreux r\u00e9sultats d\u2019un projet comme Immigrec.<\/h6>\nAs a result of this project, our Greek Program will forever be enriched as it will include Greek History in Qu\u00e9bec. Immigrec a permis \u00e0 ceux-ci d\u2019acqu\u00e9rir un autre savoir par les souvenirs de leurs yiayias et de leurs papous. Les enfants ont ainsi d\u00e9couvert avec fascination comment l\u2019Histoire du monde commence, \u00e0 la base, par l\u2019histoire des individus formant leurs familles.<\/h6>\nL\u2019\u00c9cole et le projet se sont compl\u00e9t\u00e9s \u00e0 merveille, mettant en lumi\u00e8re l\u2019importance de l\u2019histoire de toutes ces personnes immigrantes qui ont jou\u00e9 un r\u00f4le notable dans la vie de la communaut\u00e9 grecque et dans l\u2019\u00e9volution de Montr\u00e9al et du Qu\u00e9bec.<\/h6>\nC\u2019est dans cet esprit que nous avons d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de modifier d\u00e8s que possible notre programme grec de 5e ann\u00e9e afin d\u2019y inclure un volet sur l\u2019histoire des immigrants grecs au Qu\u00e9bec. Il s\u2019agit l\u00e0 de l\u2019un des nombreux r\u00e9sultats d\u2019un projet comme Immigrec.<\/h6>\nAs a result of this project, our Greek Program will forever be enriched as it will include Greek History in Qu\u00e9bec.
