The Mathematics Competitions Center prepares some of the best math competitions in North America. Over the past 30 years, more than one million students have taken up this challenge.<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/www.socdem.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/unnamed-90-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-26474\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.socdem.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/unnamed-90-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.socdem.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/unnamed-90-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.socdem.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/unnamed-90.jpg 1440w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Students from Socrates II Campus, Grades 3 to 6, participated in these competitions and many of them earned certificates of distinction for their exemplary results:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thal\u00e8s competition (3rd year)<br>\n&nbsp; A certificate of distinction for the 3rd year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Byron-Germain Contest (4th year)<br>\nSocrates II ranked 80th out of 457 schools across Canada, the top 17.5%<br>\n&nbsp;<br>\nFibonacci contest (5th year)<br>\nSocrates II ranked 47th out of 628 schools across Canada, the top 7.5%, exceeding recognized private schools such as Ste-Anne, Louis-Pasteur and Beaubois.<br>\n&nbsp;<br>\nPythagoras Contest (6th year)<br>\nSocrates II ranked 136th out of 874 schools across Canada, the top 15.6%.<br>\n&nbsp;<br>\nThe children of Socrates II have been great and their success in this national math contest is impressive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Congratulations!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Socrates-Demosthenes School<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>UNESCO has stated that problem-solving is the skill that must be developed in students if we are to successfully face the challenges of the future.
