As part of the « Croque Santé » scholarship program, organized by supermarkets Métro and Super C, the Demosthenes campus submitted an application last November to create a « health » recipe booklet with the help of its kindergarten students. The project request has been accepted and we are proud to announce that the Super Métro & Super C Markets have awarded us a $ 1000.00 bursary to complete it.
The recipe books, with the participation of all kindergarten children, will be distributed as a gift to the Junior Kindergarten graduation class. We will also keep copies in our new multimedia room coming this spring.
This scholarship will allow the school to purchase the ingredients / foods to design the recipes, as well as cover the cost of printing and publishing the book. With the rest of the money, we will set up a vegetable garden this summer or buy filtered composters.
