The Gauss Mathematics Competition took place last May. It is open to all grade 7 and 8 students in Canada. Panayiotis Saropoulos distinguished himself in a remarkable way.

This competition is developed and administered by the Center for Education in Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Waterloo, Ontario.
A Grand Distinction Certificate in the Gauss Contest is awarded to the student with the best results in Grades 7 or 8 in a participating high school.

This was won by Panayiotis Saropoulos, a graduate of Socrates II, who is currently studying at Reine-Marie College. He came first in his school and we look forward to the announcement of the national results.

Congratulations, Panayiotis!
