On January 27, 2019 will be the International Day dedicated to the memory of the victims of the Holocaust. To mark this important day, our high school students were invited last week to attend an exceptional conference: the testimony of Mrs. Marguerite Elias Quiddus, a 92-year-old Montrealer, an impressive survivor of the Holocaust.
The conference immersed our students in the moving world of this survivor, quietly sharing the important events of her life and of the history that affected her. This memorable outing plays a vital role in teaching the values of tolerance and respect for others that we hold dear in our School.
The costs of this activity have been borne by the Azrieli Foundation, which we thank.
