13 Ιουνίου, 2020: μήνυμα του Γενικού Διευθυντή

Dear parents and friends,

We hope you and your families are remaining healthy and strong as we get set for the last week of what has been simply an incredible school year.

Since our School will not be able to hold its Graduation Gala this year, we have come up with all kinds of creative ideas in providing our Graduating Class of 2020 their diplomas and achievement awards. In collaboration with our fabulous Parent Grad Committees, over the next week or so, each campus will organize local activities, respecting the Public Health guidelines, towards this end. This remarkable effort to honor our graduates will also offer many memorable surprises for them.

Our teachers, with the help of their principals and guidelines from the Ministry of Education, have started preparing the final evaluations. Report cards will be issued at the end of the school year.

As for the next school year, we are scheduled to resume classes on the 27th of August at all our campuses. MÉES is currently reviewing the most ideal scenarios and options taking into consideration all health protocols for both elementary and high schools for next year. We expect the Minister of Education to make the final decisions in the coming days. This information will be communicated to you as soon as it becomes available.

In reference to the school uniform for next year, online ordering with Maison d’Uniformes Lemira is well underway. The personnel at Lemira is available to assist our families with any questions or issues.

We would like to thank our principals, teachers and support staff for their dedication and recognize the contribution of HCGM essential service staff working behind the scenes and express our gratitude to the Board of Directors for their precious support.

Most importantly, we want to acknowledge the efforts our sensational students are making during this crisis and we want to thank all our parents for entrusting École Socrates-Démosthène for your children’s education.

Together, we will get through this!

The Director General,

Chris Adamopoulos
