On June 1st at Royal Vale School on Somerled Street in Montreal, our school choirs from Socrates II and III performed with other schools at a unique annual song celebration called ACTION. All, of course, under the direction of Maria Diamantis and Dimitris Ilias, these experienced choir masters.
Students rehearsed year-round not only with their choral directors, but also with choreographer Karen Pearce who turned Socrates II’s students into characters of Beauty and the Beast and Socrates III’s students into magical creatures of Wiz !
Our students were the highlight of the show showing amazing choral discipline and beautiful energy in the performance. Their directοrs, Georgia Tsakalis and Christos Filandrianos, were also part of the show, presenting the songs.
The vocal workshops of Socrates II and III are funded by campus parent committees, which we thank very much. These workshops not only promote students’ self-esteem and artistic expression, but also social harmony and well-being through musical projects and education.
Congratulations to the artists, big and small!
