Michalis Hatzigiannis, one of the most popular Greek artists of the decade, is in Montreal for a concert tonight as part of his North American tour.
During his stay in Montreal, Mr. Hatzigiannis had the opportunity to visit the Hellenic Community of Greater Montreal and some of the campuses of the Socrates-Demosthenes School on Thursday, April 26, 2018.
He first visited the CHGM and its employees, followed by the Hellenic Social Services, as well as a group of older people who participate in its activities.
His visit continued at Campus II, where he was greeted by General Director Chris Adamopoulos and Campus Director Georgia Tsakalis. He met the students and rehearsed with the campus choir and his conductor, Dimitri Ilias, to prepare for their appearance at his concert tonight. He even brought music to his phone.
He also met other students and teachers on campus in their field, Socrates II.
Michalis Hatzigiannis also met the two Greek Paralympic fencers who visited the students in the gymnasium.
Later, Michalis Hatzigiannis, who has over 30 musical certifications and numerous awards, visited Campus V in Laval, where he was greeted by the director, Ghislaine Langlois, the teachers and the students in the hall. gymnasium.
They all sang together Χέρια ψηλά (Hands in the air) and Το καλοκαίρι μου (My summer). Mr. Hatzigiannis answered students’ questions and received a surprise gift: a Canadiens sweater bearing his name and number 5 on campus. Upon receiving the gift, Hatzigiannis, who was delighted by the skills of our students and their Greek knowledge, confessed that he thought «5» was the date of his birthday. He was born on November 5th. Beautiful bouquets of flowers were also given to her singers, the singers Melina Makri and Thanasis Alevras.

They were greeted by the director, Chris Katiforis, teachers and students. At Demosthenes, we like to dance and sing. Hatzigiannis and his fellow singers interpreted some of their successes for their young audience and in return, students danced on their songs.
