One of the important values of the Socrates-Demosthenes School is that children help children. Two students, Anastasia Kalfopoulos and Georgia Nterekas, accompanied by their mothers, Kelly Melas and Magdalene Nterekas, proudly presented a check in the amount of $ 3063, the result of the participation of all students from all schools on free dress day.

Viola Vathilakis and Matina Bisbikos-Priftakis, co-chairs of the event, have done fabulous organizational work, with the energetic help of Georgia Tsakalis and Angie Purcell, the director and secretary of Socrates II. We would like to thank them warmly, as well as Michael Tellidis, one of the organizers of the station and, of course, Rena Papathanakou, from the Hellenic Benevolent Ladies Society(HBLS). Without these big-hearted ladies, none of this would have happened.
The Marathon was visited and supported by Mary Deros, Councilor of Villeray-Saint-Michel-Parc-Extension and associated with the Mayor of Montreal and Nicholaos Pagonis, President of the Hellenic Community of Greater Montreal.
Congratulations to all those who made this event a success.
