These days have been difficult for all of us in the face of the coronavirus pandemic. Rest assured that our School is on the front lines of the prevention in this situation. For two months, guided by a specialist in pediatric infectious diseases, we have developed a plan for a pandemic even before the coronavirus was announced as such. Several other schools in Quebec have taken a day off tomorrow to develop their own plan.

To date, no case has been confirmed on any of the campuses of the Socrates-Demosthenes School. Right now and unless we advise you otherwise, classes will continue as normal. However, as requested by the Prime Minister during his speech this afternoon, all students returning from today from a foreign country, regardless of the country, as well as all people with symptoms related to influenza, are invited to observe a period of isolation of 14 days.

We are constantly on the lookout for instructions issued by government authorities. At the Hellenic Community of Greater Montreal, everyone does their utmost to ensure that everyone’s health is never in danger, especially that of our students, your children, and we will continue to do so.

We urge you to follow the preventive measures that have been announced and together we will get through this difficult period.

Thank you.
