Last Friday, the Greek ambassador to Canada, Mr. Dimitris Azemopoulos, invited representatives of the Hellenic Community of Greater Montreal (including obviously the Socrates-Demosthenes School and Complementary Education) to launch an exciting project, Reebooting the Greek language.

This is the culmination of Simon Fraser University’s decades-long work in the Greek diaspora. This initiative by the Hellenic Studies Center of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation of the University is revitalizing the teaching and learning of the Greek language through a fun and effective electronic application.

Our school enthusiastically accepted to examine it carefully to see how we could integrate it into our learning program. It should be noted that the technology used for Reebooting Greek language is also now used to learn several Native American languages.
